Why Albuquerque, New Mexico?

Why Albuquerque, NM?

As you may know, I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A lot of people only know Albuquerque from the show, Breaking Bad.

So not exactly the best representation of this beautiful, friendly city.

To fans of the show, Albuquerque is this:

When I tell someone who has never visited New Mexico that I live here, I get one of 3 reactions...

  1. 1
    They ask why.
  2. 2
    They think it's in Arizona.
  3. 3
They think I mean Mexico, the country.

The last two reactions crack me up.

But as someone who is not so great at geography herself, I just smile and explain that New Mexico is a state in the United States between Arizona and Texas. lol.

Now, the first reaction is pretty easy to answer. I have many many reasons for living in this fun and quirky city.

And I thought I’d share my favorite one with you today.

One of the reasons I live here is because on any random Wednesday morning, I can drive to Sprouts, my favorite grocery store, and see this...

The cool thing is that this is not a rare sighting. It happens all the time.

A couple of weeks ago, I was driving back from Sprouts and saw this...

This balloon had landed in the middle of the road. Apparently, they land where they land.

We had to wait for it to be cleared before we could pass.

Throughout the year, the residents of Albuquerque can see balloons going up, coming down, and floating by.

Or landing in the street.  😉

I’ve lived here for almost 5 years now and it never gets old.

Thinking about this has got me thinking about you.

Where do you live? And what do you love about living there?

Because, after all, it’s not just about growing a business. It’s also about having an awesome life.

I’d love it if you’d comment below and let me know.

With love & joy,

P.S. Is there someone in your life who could benefit from reading this post? Why not share this with them?
