Hate even the idea of systems?

For the longest time, I couldn't figure out why every coach wasn't thrilled to create systems in her business.

I've helped coaches create systems and automations that have saved them hundreds of hours and heaps of money.

Then, I decided to do a little research on why and came across Google’s ‘Talk to Books’ feature. It spits out a list of book passages when someone types in a keyword.

When I typed in "How to create systems in business,” I got back a bunch of passages that sounded like this…

"through organizational networks; creating communities of practice that explore, test and translate those concepts into actions and new practices, followed by creating new business models and management processes. The core concepts that senior management championed were closed material loops and clean technological…”

lol. Are you asleep yet?

I LOVE the idea of systems and that paragraph made me want to take a nap.

This got me thinking that systems may have gotten a bad rap with coaches because of books like the above.

Systems don’t have to be complicated. In fact, the simpler you can make them, the better it is for your business (and your clients).

A good place to start is to look at emails you’ve sent to specific clients.

Can any of them be turned into templates to be reused in the future?

Another place to look is at materials you’ve created to help specific clients.

For example, one of my clients and I use the same business and marketing app. This app allows me to share funnels, emails, and webpages with just a link. So I turned one of my opt-in funnels into a template that she could use.

And I created it in a way that any client using the same app could use.

The best part?

Not only can I use that same template in my business to speed up any opt-in funnel I create in the future, but every client from this point forward that uses the same app will be able to save hours with just one template.

And once I had that first template created, I was off to the races.

I’ve created templates for an entire website and two sales funnels that include a sales page, order form, and thank you page.

This will save me and my clients HUNDREDS of hours in the future.

And I’m now relooking at EVERYTHING I’ve created for my business or for specific clients and seeing how I can templatize those pieces to share with clients.

See, I was able to build my business from $0 to 6 figures in 18 months.

My goal has always been to shorten that time for my clients.

My new goal is to help every new client get there in under 3 months, whether they’re a one-to-one client or in The Coaching Business Accelerator, my group program.

And I strongly believe that having systems ready for them to plug and play into their business is going to be a huge part of that.

My guess is that you could easily take some of the work you’ve done with clients and turn it into something you could provide every client that comes your way.

And I bet there is plenty you’ve done in your business that could be turned into a system to make your business run more efficiently.

Because here's the thing…

The difference between being a coach with a REAL business and owning a business that feels more like a job is setting up simple and powerful systems.

They are the key to having a profitable and sustainable business that doesn’t require you to work 24/7.
